CONGRATULATIONS
to all Baring Witness participants of West Marin and the
world!
Peace
activists and founders of BaringWitness.org, Donna Sheehan and Paul
Reffell were thrilled to be interviewed in Marshall for a documentary
film also featuring Desmond Tutu.
The film, titled 24 Peaces,
will
also share credits with Marianne Williamson, Michael Bernard Beckwith,
Deepak Chopra, Chief Arvol Looking Horse and perhaps the Dalai Lama.
The
film’s creator and artist, Gene Jimenez of Southern California, asks
the question, “What IS peace? What does peace mean to you?” to which
Donna and Paul replied, “Peace is partnership,” not unlike the global
phenomenon that raced around the world from West Marin when women and
men were photographed spelling words of peace with their naked bodies.
Jimenez
and crew, including director and two-time Oscar winner Ron Judkins,
will continue interviewing around the world.
Jimenez will create paintings that express the energy and content of
each conversation, which will travel in exhibition along with the film.
